Pietro Scalia is an Italian-American film editor. Scalia graduated from UCLA in 1985 with a Master of Fine Arts from the UCLA Film School. He began as an editor on Andrei Konchalovski's Shy People. Later, he worked as an assistant editor for Oliver Stone for 5 years. Scalia worked on such films as Wall Street (1987) and Talk Radio (1988). He later continued as an associate editor on Born on the Fourth of July and as an additional editor on The Doors. JFK was the first feature film that Scalia completely edited with his co-editor, Joe Hutshing. The  duo was honored with an Academy Award for Film Editing. Scalia also received a BAFTA Award and A.C.E. Award for his work Hannibal ten years later.
