Gal Gadot (Hebrew: גל גדות, pronounced [ˈɡalɡaˈdot]; born 30 April 1985) is an Israeli actress best known for portraying Wonder Woman in the DC Extended Universe films (2016–2023). She first gained attention in Israel after winning the Miss Israel pageant 2004. After completing her two-year service in the Israeli Defense Forces, Gadot began her acting career with a role in the Israeli television series Bubot in 2007. She later garnered further recognition through a Maxim photo shoot and achieved wider fame with her supporting role as Gisele Yashar in the Fast & Furious franchise, beginning in 2009. Her breakout role came in 2016 when she portrayed Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman. The film's success led to her starring in Wonder Woman (2017), a major box-office hit.
