Jahnome McEwan is a Toronto-based writer, filmmaker, and production professional whose work centers on intimate, character-driven narratives exploring love, grief, moral tension, and the quiet contradictions of modern life. A graduate of the Writing for Film & Television program at Toronto Film School and the Specialized Honours English program at York University, Jahnome came into filmmaking through writing first - drawn to the way visual storytelling can articulate what people often leave unsaid. Influenced by the works of Éric Rohmer, Ingmar Bergman, Michaela Coel, Mike Leigh, and the observational realism of British drama, his films embody a distinctly domestic realism; grounded portrayals of private spaces and everyday emotional conflict, where the personal becomes quietly political.
