Judith CovaSau (Acting)

Judith CovaSau (1992) is a Mexican bioartist, teacher, and researcher who graduated with honors from the UNAM Graduate School of Arts and Design for her sculptural and research project based on the use of organic elements. Drawing on the principles of the scientific and experimental method, she finds new tools for making biomaterials as a sustainable alternative to traditional materials in the arts and design. She has exhibited her work in cultural and academic venues such as the Universidad Austral de Chile, Somaiya Vidyavihar University in Mumbai, Academia de San Carlos (UNAM), Cromática Galería, Casa Frissac, Museo de Historia de Tlalpan, and Gimnasio de Arte y Cultura in Mexico City. She received support from the Mexican Ministry of Culture's “Contigo en la Distancia Cultura desde Casa” (2020) competition for her Biomaterial Tutorial project.
