Varsha Bharath is an Indian filmmaker and screenwriter based in Chennai. She made her feature debut with Bad Girl (2025), a groundbreaking Tamil coming-of-age drama that explores the journey of a young woman navigating identity, family expectations, and personal freedom. The film premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, where it won the NETPAC Award for Best Asia-Pacific Film and was nominated for the Tiger Award.
