F. Monteiro Júnior began his writing journey at the age of 15, when he published the supernatural crime novel "As Sete Vidas do Gato" (1998), through the local cultural incentive law A. Tito Filho. This was followed by "A Obscuridade Humana"(1999), published by EDUFPI, the publishing house of the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI), and "O Confidente" (2003), awarded by the Piauí State Foundation for Culture and Sports (FUNDEPI) in the Novel category - Fontes Ibiapina Award in 2001.
