Alexis Braun (Directing)

Alexis Braun was born in Toulon in 1996. He studied film at Paris 8 University. A chance meeting with dancer and choreographer Floriane De Gracia sparked a collaboration that led to a documentary on New York’s hip-hop scene and a dance film. Since then, the two have continued to explore the intersection of dance, performance, and film through their production company, inclinæ. In 2023, Alexis received a GREC grant for his short film "Godspeed." His fictional worlds are shaped by oppressive environments, places weighed down by violence, stagnation, and quiet surrender.
