A prominent Iraqi artist, born in Baghdad in 1942, began his cinematic career as a lead actor in modest films such as "Al-Nahr" (The River), "Wafat Al-Sahara" (Desert Boy), and "Sadaa Thikrayat" (Echo of Memories). He collaborated with artists Sami Qaftan and Salma Abdul Hadi Mohammed Hammam in acting in those rare films. Adnan Al-Imam was one of the most notable photographers in the sixties of the last century. He played the lead role in the film "Yad Al-Qadr" (Fate's Hand) alongside artists Sami Qaftan, Salma Abdul Hadi, and Wadad Ramzi. The screenplay and direction were by artist Kamel Al-Abdali, who also played the lead role, and he directed the film "Al-Shadrah Al-Badawiyah" (The Bedouin Sparkle), written by Burhan Al-Din Jasim, starring Sami Qaftan, Qasim Al-Malak, Samar Mohammed, Qaid Al-Nuaimi, and Wadad Shouqi.
