Vicky Dempsey Burns (Acting)

Vickey Dempsey Burns (April 1, 1954 - March 26, 2024) became interested in acting in elementary school and continued to pursue this love until the end. She attended Sam Houston State University and in 1977 and she earned a BFA in Theatre with a Teaching Certificate in Theatre and English. In 1984, she married the love of her life, Jimmy Burns, who was a poet, English teacher and school principal. Jimmy and Vickey welcomed two sons, James, in 1989, and Christopher in 1992. After a brief time of teaching high school Theatre and junior high English, she worked for years at a law firm in Houston.
