Kenneth Chang is a Korean American actor, writer and film director. He made his directing debut with the 2022 horror short Refuse which he also produced, co-wrote and starred in. Kenneth was born in Los Angeles, California to Sunja, an artist and designer, and Ignatius, a property manager. From a young age, Sunja put Kenneth into music, art and public speaking classes, thus sparking his initial interest in storytelling. He attended John Burroughs Middle School and it was there that he began writing and directing films using videotape camcorders. Many of his teachers allowed him to submit films for his semester finals which catalyzed his love for filmmaking. He then attended Francisco Bravo Medical Magnet High School where he continued to create short films for classes.
