Asimina Proedrou (Directing)

Asimina Proedrou was born in Athens in 1982. She studied music (2001), economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business (BA 2005 and MA 2007) and film directing (BA 2013 at the Metropolitan College, Athens; and MA 2016 at the University of Staffordshire). Her short film “Red Hulk” (2013), which she completed (script, direction, production) as part of her undergraduate studies, won the Golden Dionysus at the Drama International Short Film Festival (2013) and the first prize for best short film at the Athens International Film Festival Premiere Nights (2013). The film has been presented at over sixty international festivals, including the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival (International Competition, 2014), winning nine international awards.
