Ido Weisman (Directing)

Ido Weisman is a Tel Aviv-based director and cinematographer. Born in 1989 and raised in the northern Israeli village of Nofit, he holds a BFA from the Steve Tisch School of Film and Television at Tel Aviv University. He has directed several award-winning short films, including "Horah" (2018), "Pool" (2019), and "Uzzi" (2018), which was shortlisted for the BAFTA Student Awards. His short documentary "Requiem for a Whale" (2022) won the prestigious IDA Award for Best Student Documentary and was nominated for Best Documentary Short at the 2023 Israeli Academy Awards. The film also received the top prize at the Israeli Documentary Forum Awards and won both Second Prize and the Cinematography Award at the 2022 Docaviv Film Festival.
