When school rules precluded sixth graders from being in the school play, Benjamin Zimbric did what any other independent filmmaker would do when presented with an obstacle, he went and made his own movie, "Weekday Warz", anyway. Benjamin has continued from that point to make films whenever the need strikes. After making films with friends throughout high school, Benjamin felt the need for more knowledge to improve his skill and when presented with the option from his mother ("You can go to any film school you want as long as it's not on the West Coast." The reasons for this ultimatum never being made clear) Benjamin headed out to New York University. At school, Benjamin was prolific both in academics and extracurricular filmmaking.
