Isaac Morantus (Editing)

Isaac Morantus Adames (born February 9, 1997, in the Dominican Republic) is a multifaceted filmmaker, writer, director, actor, and editor known for his bold and emotionally resonant storytelling. He began his creative journey in 2014 as a content creator on YouTube with his comedy channel Hashtaglol, where he wrote, directed, and performed short comedic sketches that helped shape his unique narrative voice. In 2020, Morantus became the first Dominican winner of the international Engage Art contest with his short film Firm, gaining global recognition for his storytelling talent. As an editor, his work on Dominican films such as The Pact (2020), La Bruja (2021), and El Vendedor de Arte (2024) earned him two La Silla Awards for Best Editing—making him the youngest and first editor from his region to receive this honor.
