Scott Reid began his career in the film industry in 2005 as a private investor, providing debt, finishing funds, and equity investments for various film projects. By 2007, he transitioned to the producer role with his first feature, "When a Man Falls in the Forest," starring Sharon Stone, Timothy Hutton, and Dylan Baker. The film premiered in the prestigious competition division at the 57th Berlin International Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Golden Bear award.
