John Beckham (Directing)

John Lombardy Beckham is a filmmaker and musician from Prince George's County, Maryland. He is the creator, co-director and producer of the SHOWTIME sports documentary "Basketball County," about his Maryland home and why it has become the most prominent area for the sport. Brady Langmann of Esquire gave the film a positive review, comparing it favorably to The Last Dance mini-series. During post-production of Basketball County, John would start production on "Pizza People," a short documentary about his brother's love for pizza and the opening of his acclaimed pizzeria. Pizza people would go on to win best short at the 2020 Seoul International Food Film Festival.
