Hungarian filmmaker, editor, and composer Dániel Kőváry's work is marked by an expressive fusion of sound and images, with editing and music playing a significant part in shaping the narrative. He was born in a small Hungarian town and currently lives in Budapest. His father, Péter Kőváry (co-composer of the OST of the Hungarian cult film Kontroll, directed by Antal Nimród), had an important influence on his artistic journey, starting with music. He quickly became recognised for his ability to create exciting cinematic worlds during his studies in film editing. A key milestone in his early career came when his editing on Márk Beleznai's Agapé helped secure the film's selection for the 2020 Cannes Film Festival.
