Sylvain Augier, born May 7, 1955 in Toulouse and died March 16, 2024 in Lecques, Gard, is a French television and radio host, journalist, and producer. He grew up in the village of Forgues in Haute-Garonne, in a family steeped in Christian and humanist values, which marked his life through a special attention to others and a love of sharing. After obtaining his baccalaureate, Sylvain Augier continued his studies at the Toulouse Institute of Political Studies, graduating in 1976. He then moved to Paris to prepare for the ENA entrance exam, but abandoned this career despite being eligible. In 1978, he completed his national service as a volunteer in Nicaragua, an experience that fueled his curiosity about the world.
