Joel Behrens (Visual Effects)

Joel Behrens is a Visual Effects Supervisor at Digital Domain, where he brings over two decades of experience, with a portfolio spanning more than 40 feature films, as well as numerous high-profile episodic and commercial projects. He is currently leading work on an upcoming, unannounced project that is already generating significant anticipation. Joel served as the Visual Effects Supervisor for Netflix’s sci-fi adventure The Electric State, directed by the Russo Brothers. In this pivotal role, he led Digital Domain’s efforts as the primary VFX vendor, overseeing more than 850 shots, the creation of over 60 digital characters, and the development of nearly 480 assets—cementing his reputation for managing complex, large-scale productions with precision and vision.
