Jess Cagle (Acting)

Jess Cagle (born August 8, 1965) is one of the most prominent and respected entertainment journalists in America. As Editor-in-Chief of People magazine (2014-2019), he grew its audience to 100 million across print, digital and video, and led People's successful expansion into television. Known as one of the highest-ranking, longest-serving and most well-liked magazine editors in the media business, he left his job as Editorial Director on March 31, 2019, the day his contract ran out, after 32 years with the entertainment group. He joined Time Inc in 1987 as a reporter for People. In 1990, he helped launch Entertainment Weekly. He covered the entertainment industry as a senior editor at Time from 2000 to 2002, and returned to People as entertainment editor.
