Lydia Fotopoulou (Kavala, 22 June 1956) is a Greek actress. She was born on 22 June 1956 in Kavala, where she is from, and spent her childhood in Thessaloniki. After finishing school, she began her studies at the Drama School of the State Theatre of Northern Greece. She began her career in theatre in the early 1980s. Her first collaboration was with Andreas Voutsinas. Collaborations with directors Minos Volanakis, Giorgos Vouros and others followed. She first appeared on television in 1991, taking part in the cast of the Scandinavian series Amforans gata, which was filmed in Greece, in a small role. In 1993, she collaborated for the first time with the creator and director Panos Kokkinopoulos in the series of independent episodes of ANT1 Anatomy of a Crime.
