Kasra Farahani is an Iranian-born, Los Angeles-based production designer, director, and visual artist. Born on March 1, 1978, in Iran, Farahani's family fled the country following the 1979 Islamic Revolution, settling in Los Angeles when he was just a year old. His early interest in visual storytelling led him to study industrial design. This foundation would later inform his cinematic world-building. Farahani began his career in the film industry as a concept artist and art director, contributing to major studio productions. His portfolio includes work on films such as The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, 3:10 to Yuma, Alice in Wonderland, Thor, Captain Marvel, Birds of Prey, and Star Trek Into Darkness, where he notably designed the interior of the USS Vengeance.  He also served as a concept artist on projects like Black Panther and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
