Five strangers awaken to find themselves trapped aboard an alien spaceship that seems to be harnessing their terror to power the ship. They begin to understand that these species have been abducting humans for decades and possibly centuries.
Seems like this could have made a really solid short film. As it stands, I wouldn't put you on the path to watching Project Ithaca. Eighty odd minutes might seem a short feature, but believe me, it's not short enough. There was a couple of things I did get into: The alien take on the Monsters, Inc. premise, and the practical effects are those couple of things. But neither are done well enough or brought to fruition enough to elevate Ithaca to the point of being worth your time.
Final rating:★★ - Had some things that appeal to me, but a poor finished product.
