The winner of British Airways ”Great Britons” competition, the film tells the story of a carpenter at the Olympic Velodrome track and his cyclist son.
Timothy Spall is the carpenter as the final preparations are being made at the velodrome for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. We have no dialogue, just a gentle score as his craftsmanship is peppered with images of a youth, on a bike, whom we assume is his son. Clearly tragedy has visited the man, but the film offers a small degree of redemption. It's an uncomplicated production, this, and is only ten minutes - worth a watch.
