A journey undertaken by two old friends turns into a brutal test of survival and a reckoning for the past. One friend achieved his societal goals but failed his personal desires, while the other achieved nothing. He is full of contempt for his successful friend, whom he sees as a sellout—a man who abandoned his dream of music for a safe, stifling life with a woman who never believed in him.
