Description
Nico lives on a shore isolated from the world. Her house is by the sea, covered by a pile of leaves that make it look like a large mound. Nico seeks independence in solitude, but by distancing from the world, she has also distanced from herself. She spends her days carving stones, collecting leaves, and avoiding the other inhabitants. Nico sees herself reflected in the surface of the sea and realizes she has no face in the water's reflection. A large wave overwhelms her, and she loses her house key. To retrieve it, she dives into the sea and swims into the darkness, surrounded by flashes of light. After her underwater experience, Nico chooses a new way of relating to the world.
