Description
Fresh Cut Flowers is a short film collaboration between Tempestt Hazel and musician Azita Youssefi, created from footage and sound from the collection of the Chicago Film Archives. The film tells the story of an attempt to co-opt and manipulate beauty, joy, and a liberated spirit. The film uses a combination of found and original sounds, animations, and intimate moments from the Chicago Film Archives to remind us not to mistake tenderness, quiet, or tranquility for weakness.
