I think this was cute, if not very rough around the edges.
I didn't hate this. I understand what it was going for and what it wanted to be. And yet, it did not get there. It fell rather flat.
The story felt like it had concluded five minutes in, but it still kept going, which I didn't mind, but the story's actual ending didn't feel needed.
The script, the acting, and the production felt incomplete. Even if it was a student film. I want to say, I do not understand the constraints the filmmakers had to work with, but the film did need more time in the oven.
TL;DR:
I think the idea was interesting, and the story was cute, but the film suffered from a muddy script and a messy production.
