First things first. If you are at all photo-sensitive then you might want to avoid this. It’s called “Outer Space” but the constant flickering throughout this dark feature made me think more of bats attacking this poor woman (apparently Barbara Hershey) in a vampire movie rather than a sci-fi one. Whilst folks can speculate as to what this is actually about, it came across to me as an eerily lit and quickly paced abstract that is clearly based on frames from another film and that manages to generate quite a sense of peril for ten minutes. It’s creatively crafted to give us a sense of something terrifyingly manic and Peter Tacherkassy must have had great fun with the razor blade in both the audio and film edits.
