While London celebrates 35 years of Gay Pride, Riga holds its first officially sanctioned LGBT march, faced with the chilling opposition of religious fundamentalist and neo-nazi groups. The Riga march is a solemn political act, while in London some worry that the political origins of Pride have become lost.
